About TULASI

TULASI is a luxury womenswear label that specialises in digital fashion, creating garments to wear in-real-life and digital twins to wear in virtual environments such as gaming. Inspired by her Kenyan-Gujarati heritage and what it means to be “British”.

TULASI champions sustainability by incorporating digital processes. Digital fashion is 97% more sustainable, than physical fashion. Physical garments are curated sustainably, using deadstock materials, including responsibly sourced leather and faux fur by-products.

Through curating a hybrid approach, digital incorporation means that physical prototypes are much more sufficient.

Unlike traditional brands experimenting with Web3, TULASI is built around digital-first sustainability, where the British Fashion Council predicts 15% of our future wardrobes will be digital.

Aligning with UN Sustainability Goal 12, responsible production and consumption. Using 3D digital software to ideate, prototype, and refine designs with clients before physical production, ensures a minimal waste approach, reducing the need for excessive fabric samples.

TULASI pioneers equality, with over 85% of graduates from fashion school being women, but only 1 in 6 in industry being women.

TULASI’s debut collection, “Father’s Trade,” is inspired by her Father’s exile from Kenya for being Indian, where her Grandad was a cobbler for the British Army. When her Father came to England as a child, he faced discrimination from fascist Enoch Powell supporters opposing migration. Many South Asian and Black communities suffered physical and verbal violence.

Her collections amplify this diverse story of oppression through exploring the retail store he opened in the 80s alongside my Mother, where he sold luxurious fur and leather garments that empowered women in an oppressive society.

Since launching her collection at the debut show in September, she has been awarded, Winner of Metaverse Fashion Week 2025, Winner of Entrepreneur - Under 30 Award, a global Soho House Fellowship and Finalist of British Vogue X BMW, Future Creator Competition.
